How to use Clay Tables?

Lets see how we can use each table to create a prospect list in clay 🙂

  1. LinkedIn

Clay allows users to pull in 3 types of linkedin data,

  1. Company data
  2. People data
  3. Jobs data

Lets see how we can pull in these datasets and how to use them,

Company data

To start, first select the Find Companies from LinkedIn option in the table option.

Once done you will get a window where you can fill in all details related to filter out companies you want to target.

Filters would include,

  1. Company Industry
  2. Company Size
  3. Company Description keywords
  4. Company Location

You can also select companies which are lookalikes of a certain list of companies, with this option. All it needs is for you to upload a list of companies.

You can also filter companies based on a description that you think would fit your target companies.

Jobs

To filter out Jobs from lInkedin, select the Find jobs from Linkedin option.

The dashboard will let you filter out jobs using the following filters,

  1. Company Name (for a specific list of companies)
  2. Job description keywords
  3. Location
  4. Type (Full time, Part time)
  5. Has Recruiter on LinkedIn Job post
  6. Date of Job post
Once you select the different filters, you can import your job list into a table 🙂

People

Select the Find People from LinkedIn option in the dashboard

Once inside you can now filter out people for,

  1. A specific list of companies (either from a clay table or a manual list)
  2. Job Titles
  3. Experience
  4. Profile BIO
  5. Location
  6. Education

Once done, you can import them directly onto a table and enrich them further 🙂

From Sales Navigator

To pull in data from LinkedIn Sales Navigator,

You have to copy the search link on your Sales Navigator page.

Now you will have to select “Find People from Sales Navigator URL” in the table option.

Add your search URL in the popup and start scraping.

Once done, Clay will push out a table which you can use further.

Bonus point, Clay will push Linkedin URLs of all profiles instead of Sales Nav URLs for each person in your search, something other scrapers do not provide.

  1. Google

Maps

Select the “Find Local Businesses using Google Maps” option.

You can now filter out searches using,

  1. Exact location (can be marked on the map)
  2. Search keyword (HVAC in Tucson, Arizona)

Once done, pull in the search result into a table.

Search

To filter out results from a google search, select this option from the table window.

This will help you filter out results for,

  1. Specific search (keywords you want to search for)
  2. Language you want to search in
  3. Country you want the search for

Once the search is done, import the data into a table for further enrichments.

  1. RSS feed

To pull in rows from an RSS feed to a clay table,

  1. Select the RSS feed option in the table window

b. Add the RSS feed URL and click continue.

This will import all results into a Table.

  1. Multiple platforms (This feature is available only on paid plans)

This can only be done once you connect every platform to clay using either an API or a normal user login credentials.

Apollo

The “Find People from Apollo” option would enable you to filter people in apollo and import them directly to your clay table without using your clay tokens.

Once selected you can now apply all parameters in your search that will filter results out in apollo.

The results then can be imported into a table 🙂

Sad part: Only the top 1000 results will be imported 🙁

Store leads (For ecommerce data)

The “Find companies from Storeleads” option would enable you to directly link your storeleads lists to a clay table without any manual work or using up your clay credits.

Connect your storeleads account.

Once connected you can now add parameters to filter out companies you want to target and

import them into a table.

Apify

The “Pull data from Apify Actor” option would enable you to import your Apify lead lists directly to your clay table without using your clay tokens.

Once you connect your account, you can select the list you want to pull in and add it to a table.

Github

There are 3 options that would enable you to directly link your github searches to a clay table without any manual work or using up your clay credits.

  1. Find stargazers
  2. Find forks
  3. Find contributors

Once you select whichever option you want to use.

All you would need to provide is the Repository URL or Name and then click on Continue.

The list can then be added to a table for further enrichment 🙂

Loxo (for recruitment teams)

The “Pull in leads from Lists in Loxo” option would enable you to directly link your Loxo people lead lists to a clay table without any manual work or using up your clay credits.

Once you connect your account, you just have to choose the list you want to pull in.

And add the list to a table for further enrichment.

The list will then be added to a table for further operations.

Phantombuster

The “Pull in leads from Phantombuster” option would enable you to directly link your phantombuster lead lists to a clay table without any manual work or using up your clay credits.

Once you connect your account, you can select the phantom from where you want to pull in a list and add it to a table.

Typeform

The “Pull in your responses from Typeform” option would enable you to add all your responses to a clay table directly without any manual intervention.

Once you connect your account. Select the form you want to import data from and then add it to a table 🙂

  1. Additional platforms you can import data from would be,

  • Hubspot

  • Mixpanel
  • A CSV file
